My name is Edyta, I am a research associate at the Technical University of Munich.
Currently I am writing my PhD thesis in the field of urban cartography.
Edyta Paulina Bogucka graduated from the Warsaw University of Technology, Poland in 2016 and holds a M.Sc. Eng. degree in Environmental Development, Planning and Management. Before moving to Munich, she gained working experience as a city planner and cartographer for urban design studios, museums and GIS companies.
Currently she is active as a Cartographer and Data Visualization Designer. She works in the Chair of Cartography at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and freelances for the Chair of Economic History at Ludwig-Maximilians-University.
Working a research assistant at TUM since April 2017, she investigated semantically enriched and user-oriented multimodal navigation. She continues her research as a PhD Candidate and explores Geospatial Information Services for Smart Cities. In her work Edyta focuses on rasing the visibility of the Yangtze River Delta region using maps and storytelling techniques.
Besides Edyta proudly helps in coordinating the Erasmus Mundus International Master of Science Programme in Cartography – the best study programme for all maps lovers around the world.
